Hi. I'm Marcy.
When I'm not capturing the love between families (new and old), I'm substitute teaching (often first grade) or driving my son from one sport's practice to the next. And I wouldn't have it any other way!
I'm a mom, a wife, a self-diagnosed bibliophile, a fitness-lover and a habitual jaywalker (shhh...don't tell). My house is messy, and my friends will tell you I sometimes answer their text messages in my head but forget to answer them on my phone. I'm a bit of a spiritual person, and very much a philosophical one.
I believe that life is what we choose to make it--adventurous, peaceful, exciting, connected. I also believe photography is the most beautiful when it captures the authentic emotion of that life--the messy, chaotic, sometimes happy and sometimes upside-down moments.
Many of my clients start with newborns or young children and continue to come back year after year. A few have found me as seniors in high school only to later come back as brides! My favorite part of photography is watching every one of my clients' families grow and change over the years.

My Style.
You'll find a session with me is a little bit different than what you're used to. But then, my images are probably different than what other photographers have captured for you, too. They include some portraits, but they also capture real moments. Ones that can't be directed (and are the most perfect when they aren't). While I do provide some direction and posing during part of our session, for some of it, I also try to be a fly on the wall, capturing the natural beauty of your family interacting with each other.
As a mom, I've realized I have tons of photos of just my son. And quite a few of my husband and son together. But I have only a handful of photos of me with my family. And even though photography is my passion, I don't have photos of some of the best moments of us as a family together.
So I aim to give you what I want for myself. Images of the moments in your life that you'll remember forever.
